Local Sponsorship

Spring into Eden

Eden Court CREATIVE  offers creative arts classes, events and projects at Eden Court and across the Highlands, in schools and the community. Spring Into Eden is the annual showcase of all the dance classes that take place at Eden Court, and a few beyond. Participants in these classes are all ages, children and adults, and they attend classes for fun, fitness and to develop their dance skills and creativity. The funding from HFBC enables us to invest in quality costumes that enhance the performances and improve the confidence of the dancers, adding value to their experience and affirming their contribution.

Strathspey Camanachd Shinty Team

The Men’s Shinty team was established in 2011, playing their first competitive matches in the 2012 season. We compete in the North Harvest 2nd Division which currently consists of 11 teams and stretches from across the highlands with the furthest away matches taking place on the Island of Lewis. Currently the team are sitting 4th on the table and hope to end the 2017 season in a strong position.

Our men play 45 min half’s and their teams consist of 12 players with up to 4 rolling subs. Players come from in and around the Strathspey area with the majority Grantown Based. With a strong junior section now underway it is hoped that more young people from the area will continue to file in to the team as they progress in the future.

We are sponsoring local gundog trainer, Dougie Gibson of Quarryford Spaniels to train English Springer Spaniel puppy, Rubee, and take her through the different stages of her training and hopefully enter her in future field trials, fingers crossed, he can make her up to a field trial champion. So far so good.
